I'm starting to look pregnant.  I wore maternity jeans twice this week, which is somewhat embarrassing considering I'm not really that far along, but man...they are so much more comfortable.  I have been wearing some maternity tops, too, but none of them so far have screamed, MATERNITY - a lot of them are the kind of clothes I would buy anyway.  I'm not going to lie, I'm a little excited at the prospect of looking pregnant.  For one thing, it would be nice for it to be clear that I'm not just getting fat.  The other thing I'm really looking forward to is that people on the train might start giving up their seat for me - it's selfish, but dammit I am so freaking tired at the end of the day, it kills me to stand on the train.  If it wasn't so cold that I'm wearing a coat, I would probably go out of my way to stick my belly out even farther just to get a seat.  I have no shame.

Monday I have an appointment with a new OB/GYN practice.  I'll actually be meeting mostly midwives, but they'll introduce me to all of the doctors.  The idea is that you meet everyone so you're familiar and comfortable with anyone who might be there when you deliver.  I like the concept, even if it doesn't really matter to me since we're moving before we get that far.  I am excited - I liked my other doctor, but she is just so impossible to schedule an appointment with.  I am supposed to be visiting the doctor on a pretty regular schedule, and I had already had to wait over three weeks.  I tried to call for an appointment at 8 weeks, and was told my doctor was booked for two weeks.  So I call two weeks later right after they open, hoping to get an appointment at 10 weeks, and I'm told my doctor is booked (past the two week point, somehow?) and that after that she gone for a month.  Even better, the other doctors are only scheduling 48 hours in advance.  What. the. eff.  At this rate I am probably never going to get an appointment, unless I figure out the magical way to get a super secret appointment past the two-week window.  Screw that.

And that's all for today :)
