Friday the 13th!

Until a guy outside the subway told me, I hadn't realized it was Friday the 13th.  I don't put any stock in that, and actually seem to have pretty good Friday the 13ths (probably because, um, it's Friday).  In fact, I hadn't realized that it was the 13th at all - our move-in date in Seattle is today!  Obviously we aren't moving in yet, but it just really hit me.  That date has been in my head for so long, I've written it on so many forms and when we chose the apartment we talked about how close that is to August 1st (so it wasn't awful) paying double rent for a little bit.  So...wow.  Jeff's dissertation defense is in two weeks.  We pack up and leave MD in less than three weeks.  We are going to be IN our new apartment in four weeks.  (and if I really want to think about it...the baby is due in 13 weeks)

Yesterday two of our friends gave us some really cute baby clothes, and I am now going to show them off.  I particularly love the onesie where the monkey is holding a banana in his tail.  I was thinking it would be a cute coming home outfit, but I realized that it is probably going to be a little too cool for short sleeves (which seems impossible right now, with how warm it is).  Also, they are SO tiny!  Last night Jeff picked them up and pretended to rock them and burp them like a baby - I know that's super cheesy and lame, but seeing him act like a daddy really made me smile. :)
