Monday!

I am staying home today because we are waiting for a re-delivery of a Certified Mail letter. Saturday we missed the mail person by less than 10 minutes, according to the slip that was left, and we seem to have rotating mail people that come at all hours of the day.  I am highly intrigued, though, it's for both of us and I have no clue what it is.  If the mail person comes early, maybe I will go into work - it's MUCH cooler today than it has been, so I don't have to worry about the heat if I leave later than 7:30 (thank goodness for small miracles, eh?).  I also have a phone interview today at 5 p.m., so fingers crossed!

It's not even 11 a.m. and I've already checked some things off my list: put away laundry, called in a service request (our toilet flusher broke yesterday), and called about two store credit cards I found while cleaning.  I was *pretty* sure that they must have been canceled due to misuse, but I wanted to be sure.  I suppose I should do some real work (aka school/lab work) at some point, too, but I'll bet I wind up just packing more boxes.  I'm sitting on pins and needles waiting for Jeff to have his meeting with his boss, but they don't have it scheduled or anything and I'm sure it will be at the end of the day.  I wanna know if he's getting paid!

Update: the mail came, it was nothing exciting :-/  Just a notice from our apartment complex about moving out.  And the maintenance guy already came and fixed the toilet, so I probably should have gone in to work.  I figured that by the time I got there I would have three hours before my phone interview, so here I am on my couch still :)
