Pros: Awesome bed, huge room, fireplace, whirlpool tub, fridge/microwave, good breakfast
Cons: kind of expensive, realllllly terrible water pressure

After an awesome night's sleep (thank you, Hampton Inn!) we got back on the road. Today was a longer day (scheduled to be almost 9 hours) and I am happy to say that we made it in pretty good time without wanting to die. Between concert traffic and an awful storm, Chicago seriously sucked - we lost an hour there, it smelled weird, and the drivers were almost as bad as Baltimore (BUT they use turn signals!).
Highs from the trip:
-Ohio rest stops are seriously nice
-EZ pass is accepted all the way to Chicago
-My compression stockings feel awesome on my tired feet/calves (apparently pregnant ladies are very similar to old ladies)
-being in FOUR states today! (OH, IN, IL, WI)
| I wanted to cry when this came out so blurry, it says, "Welcome to Indiana". Jeff's camera hates me. |
| There was no 'Welcome to Illinois' OR 'Thanks for Visiting Indiana' sign, but this gets the point across! |
Lows from the trip:
-LOTS of construction in Ohio, we were going 10 mph for a while
-aforementioned Chicago traffic
-crappy rest stops in Indiana
-a-hole kid who worked at the Einstein's where we tried to eat lunch. He was such a douche, we ended up at Burger King instead (which is SO not our style!)
-the redneck wedding that's going on in our hotel right now (lots of drunk tools in Tap Out shirts)
Tomorrow we have another 9 hours planned, and we are stopping in Fargo (doncha know) :)
Another awesome (if slightly embarrassing) thing is that our ReloCubes were apparently shipped, the tracking info currently says they were checked in in Carlisle PA and en route to South Bend, Indiana. Since it updates so slowly, I have no clue how far they made it today, but I feel like they might actually make it to Seattle by Friday. Woot! I have a bit of egg on my face since I wrote a pretty annoyed e-mail (not terrible, but still...), but whatever, I will apologize when they respond on Monday.
