Last night's hotel: Wingate by Windham, Missoula MT
Pros: fridge, comfy bed, yummy breakfast, quiet, good water pressure
Cons: none that I can think of
For some reason, a lot of hotels in the midwest have 'water parks' in them, i.e. fancy water slides. Some are actually resorts with real water parks, but most just have these cheesy slides. After seeing a bunch of these, we realized that our hotel last night was one of them. So weird...the kids there seemed to enjoy it, but it just seems so random!

Another pretty short day, 6.5 hours. We got out of Montana, drove through the tiny strip of the Idaho panhandle, and wound up in Washington. We're about two hours from Seattle now, and it feels good to rest. Tomorrow we are going to get our apartment keys, schedule our walk-through, and head to Costco, which is right next door. We need some towels, pillows, etc and something to sleep on - not a big waste since we needed to outfit the second bathroom and the guest room, anyway. We'll also get some cheap cooking stuff and food to hold us over til Monday.
This morning I talked to the ABF people and it looks like we'll definitely be getting our stuff delivered on Friday; I'm less annoyed about this because we decided to just stay in the apartment, but still...they suck. The guy on the phone told me that there was a possibility of them doing a Saturday delivery just for us, which I was really excited about, until he told me we would have to pay $450. lfngfknglknfewofneofnfoienfef WTF are you kidding me? So no. Plus, turns out our stuff didn't leave Chicago Tuesday night, but instead left this morning, meaning it will arrive on Saturday instead of Friday, making a Saturday delivery impossible. I feel like every time I track the shipment, it's slower and slower. It sat in Carlisle PA for a day, and Chicago for a day and a half. We made it to Seattle faster (just counting the business days for the cube, even!). The guy assured me that now that the delivery is loaded to Seattle, there will be no more holdups (barring a natural disaster), and that delays occur when the shipments are just sitting there - their policy is not to let things sit 24 hours or longer, but they've been dropping the ball on that one. We are going to call tomorrow to schedule the delivery, and I am pretty sure that my eyes will shoot fire if they tell me they can't do Monday.
To end on a less rage-y note, I will share some things we saw today:
| 'General Store'/Casino/Gas Station in Missoula. How...authentic? |
| Prairie dogs (? mabe ground squirrels?) at a Montana rest stop |
| A guy started feeding them and they all swarmed over |
| Idaho! |
| 960? That is smaller than the high school I went to in Texas! |
| FINALLY! |
| Ton of windmills on a far-away mountain |
| Columbia River |
| Bonus shot of my huge belly in the reflection |
| Now we are on Windmill Mountain! |
| And there's Mt. Ranier! |
| And some other mountains |
